7 ways your bra is seriously damaging your health

As women, we can all unanimously agree that almost nothing compares to the feeling of taking off the bra at the end of a long and hard day.

When you wear an ill-fitted garment, it can actually cause shortness of breath. This happens because when you wear a tight bra–which is not exactly your size–it restricts the movements of your ribs. As a result, it makes you a shallow breather instead of being a deep breather.

This does not mean that a wrong-sized bra won’t let you breathe but it would rather affect your quality of breathing.

The tightness and squeezing around your chest can compress your major blood vessels, leading to blood circulation cut-off.

If you think bras make your breast look toner and perkier, take a look at your back. Everything comes with some consequences behind. In this case, it’s literally ‘behind.’ No matter how thin or fit you are, due to the tight straps of bras, your back skin will form multiple rolls of fat.

Bras can also weaken the suspension muscles on your body. Such muscles are in charge of lifting the weight of your breast and averting sagging. So, if you keep wearing bras for a long time, these muscles will weaken over time.
