Amazon has announced that it will be conducting a hiring process where it will hire 3,000 remote workers in South Africa to add to its already large workforce in the state.
The virtual customer service of Amazon and technical expert roles will be the roles to be filled. This new hiring will enable the company to be able to provide 24-hour support to its customers in North America and Europe. Doing this will take the number of Amazon’s workforce in the country to 7,000. Amazon is making this new hire in response to the rise in its service.
The Online retailer recorded between January and March, a rise in sales of 26%. In the United States, the company will also be hiring over 100,000 new workers to keep up with this increase in demand.
