The Osun state joint taskforce team Amotekun corps, have arrested illegal miners in the state.
The arrest which took place on Monday, consisted of eight Chinese nationals Who were caught carrying out illegal mining activities.
This was made known by the state’s commissioner for information Funke Egbemode, she said the joint task force of the team arrested another eight Chinese who in spite of the previous arrest thought they could outmaneuver the state’s regulation.
She, however, noted that they are under investigation and that necessary actions will be taken.
Mrs. Egbemode did not indicate where they were arrested as she noted that the Gold buying center in Osun state is ready and that the state is et to maximize the economic benefits of the center.
