Bayern Munich Signs Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting And Douglas Costa On Transfer Deadline Day

Bayern Munich, on monday announced that have completed a surprise deadline day move for striker Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting,31 who was a free agent at the end of last season after his contract expired at Paris Saint-Germain.

The contract signed by the striker is on till June 2021 with the Bundesliga champions.

“It’s a great feeling coming back to the Bundesliga — and then to the biggest club in Germany,”

“Who wouldn’t want to play for FC Bayern? It’s an honour to play for this club. It’s always Bayern’s aspiration to win everything, and I’m hugely motivated to help them achieve those goals.”

Costa spent three years at Bayern before moving to Juventus for €40 million (£36m/$47m) in the summer of 2018, after winning two Bundesliga titles and the DFB Cup.

After winning five trophies in total, including three successive Serie A crowns, Costa has fallen down the squad pecking order under new boss Andrea Pirlo.

Costa joins the club on a season long loan.

He said;

“I’m very happy to be playing for FC Bayern again,”

“I had a wonderful time in Munich with lots of successes and I’m sure we’ll win titles again.”
