Bola Tinubu Donates N50m To Victims Of The Katsina Fire Outbreak


On Wednesday, Bola Ahmed Tinubu shortly after he visited the Scene of the fire outbreak was moved with compassion and donated the sum of N50m to the victims of the katsina fire outbreak which destroyed loads of properties and goods.

Consoling the victims, he urged them not to get weary but to trust God and see the incident as an act of God and that trading activities should not stop in the market.

Meanwhile, while all this was ongoing, some suspects were paraded for taking advantage of the fire situation to loot shoots, and to this regard, Muhammadu Abba, 43 year-old Islamic teacher was also paraded amongst the 34 suspects paraded.

According to reports, it was the wife of Abba who called him out to the Police after she noticed that he stuffed some goods under a bed in their house.

SP Gambo Isah, Police spokesperson speaking said;

 “This man, Muhammadu Abba, is an Islamic teacher. He teaches pupils in the local Islamiya school. Yet, that did not stop him from looting items during the fire incident at the central market. His wife reported him to the police that he was keeping some looted items under their bed and we arrested him.”
