The 379,997 impacted applicants are currently being rescheduled for another Unified Tertiary and Matriculation Examination by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board.
Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, the examination body’s registrar, announced the rescheduling during a news conference in Abuja on Wednesday, and it started Thursday morning.
Oloyede acknowledged that there were mistakes in the just finished exam that affected 206,610 students at 65 locations in Lagos and 92 locations in the Owerri zone, totaling 173,387 candidates across the five South East states.
Additionally, he stated that “starting tomorrow, the impacted candidates will begin receiving text messages for rescheduling.”

However, one of the impacted applicants has been rescheduled to take her exam on Saturday, May 17, 2025 by 12 p.m. at one of the Lagos centers in Igando village, which is located in the Alimosho Local Government Area of the state, according to the reprinted exam slip that our correspondent was able to view.
