Moises Caicedo has reportedly been banned from training by Brighton after he took to Instagram to make a public plea for him to be sold to some big clubs that have expressed interest in him.
The Ecuadorian midfielder is at the center of a huge furor, with a number of clubs chasing his services. Chelsea has expressed an interest in him, and it has been reported that Arsenal’s high-profile bid for him was turned down by Brighton.
Both clubs are expected to make further bids for Caicedo in the aftermath of his request, although Brighton is adamant that they will not be forced into selling the 21-year-old midway through the season.
After trying to influence his sale through the public plea on Friday evening, some English news platforms have reported that Caicedo has been asked to take some time away from the club until the closure of the transfer window.
The Seagulls currently sit sixth in the Premier League under Roberto de Zerbi. They are just five points behind fifth-placed Tottenham with two games in hand.
