China Reacts As the US Bans Importation Of Oil, Gas From Russia

China has reacted to the United States’ ban on Russian oil, gas, and coal imports in response to the Ukraine war.

According to the reports, Joe Biden, United States President, on Tuesday imposed a ban on Russian oil retaliation for the invasion of Ukraine.

Reacting to the development, China Foreign Office spokesperson Zhao Lijian told the press in Beijing on Wednesday that “Waving the big stick of sanctions will not bring us peace or security.

“They will only cause severe difficulties for the economy and the livelihood of relevant countries.

“Everyone will lose from this scenario and sanctions will only enhance division and confrontation,’’ he said.

China and Russia maintain good cooperation in the energy sector.

“We will continue to conduct normal trade cooperation,’’ he added.
