It has been reported that the Manchester City Duo of Riyad Mahrez and Aymeric Laporte have tested positive for the coronavirus.
Mahrez, 29, and Laporte, 26, are due to begin the new Premier League season with the team’s first fixture against Wolves on 21 September. It is not clear when they contracted COVID-19 and whether they will be able to play.
According to a spokesperson, Both players are self-isolating and neither are displaying any symptoms.
“Everyone at the club wishes Riyad and Aymeric a speedy recovery ahead of their return to training and the new season.”
