Cross River Lawmaker dies of Covid-19 in an Isolation centre

In Cross River, a Lawmaker and member of the House of Assembly, Godwin Akwaji, died on Thursday at an isolation centre in the state. The news was confirmed by the speaker of the house of Assembly, Mr. Eteng Jonas-Williams.

Mr. Williams shared the news with PREMIUM TIME, Thursday, and said the lawmaker was moved into the isolation centre the same day he died.

He said Samples have not been taken, but will be taken soon enough to ascertain if the Lawmaker died of COVID-19 or not.

Mr. Godwin Akaji, before his death, was a representative of Obudu State constituency in the Asseembly.

The late lawmaker represented the Obudu State Constituency in the assembly.
