Dele Momodu Explains How One Aspirant Donated $30,000 To Each Delegate During The 2022 PDP Primary

In the 2022 Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential primaries, an aspirant contributed $30,000 to each of the 774 delegates, according to Dele Momodu, editor of Ovation Magazine.

Momodu, who described the primary as extensively monetized, apologized on the Key to Keys podcast show for spending about N50 million to buy the PDP presidential nomination form.

Additionally, he declared that until he was accepted as a consensus candidate, he would not run for president on any party’s ticket.

“No, experience is the best teacher,” he remarked, adding, “and I’ve realized that Nigeria is ruled by what you could call principalities.”

“I can think about it unless a significant political party agrees that Dele Momodu is the most qualified candidate to govern and transform Nigeria and chooses to accept me.

However, if I have to choose, I will spend over N100 million to purchase a presidential nomination form; for the most recent one, I paid almost N50 million. This was a waste of money because I could have obtained a property. Since everything was monetized, not a single vote was cast for me.

We had 774 delegates, and one of the contenders spent up to $30,000 each delegate. How can you compete with them? They have taken over the nation and are engaging in a variety of business ventures, particularly in oil-rich regions, in an attempt to profit.

Because it’s difficult and you can’t compete with them, they disrespect Nigerians regardless of the amount of raw cash they have at their disposal. No nation in the world has more people in control of raw money than Nigeria.

They cannot be traced because the majority of their money is not in any bank. Today’s politicians will find the $500 million if you ask them if they need money to become president. So, where do I begin with individuals like us? I don’t care.
