This year, Arafat Day will be celebrated in Saudi Arabia on Thursday, June 5, one day before to Eid on June 6. Yaum al-Arafah, also known as Arafat Day, is the ninth day of Dhul Hijjah and is regarded as the most sacred day in the Islamic calendar.
Eid-ul-Adha, also called Eid al-Zuha or Bakrid, is the second-holiest festival in Islam, and Muslims over the world are getting ready for it. A day before festivities begin in India, the event, also called the Feast of Sacrifice or Eid al-Bakr, will be observed in Saudi Arabia.
The event takes place on the tenth day of Dhul Hijjah, which is the twelfth and last month of the lunar calendar, according to the Islamic calendar.
