Federal Government Declares Monday As Public Holiday To Celebrate Workers’ Day

The Federal Government of Nigeria has declared Monday, April 3 as public holiday to mark this year’s International Workers’ Day celebration.

Commending Nigerian Workers’,  Rauf Aregbesola, The Minister of Interior made the announcement on behalf of the Federal Government.

Mr. Rauf also called for more dedication and for unity between labour unions, saying the present challenges will soon be over as the government is committed to securing the lives and property of all Nigerians.

He said:

“The government is putting all strategies in place to curb the security challenges in the country. I therefore call on the labour force and all patriotic citizens to be fully committed to the task of putting insecurity to a permanent end as much as possible.”
