The frequent travels of some female ministers who frequently leave their husbands alone for extended periods of time have drawn criticism from Pastor Mike Bamiloye, the founder of Mount Zion Faith Ministries.
Bamiloye brought attention to the difficulties these husbands have in running the local church by themselves while their spouses go on service trips in a Facebook post on Monday.
While their husbands deal with loneliness and isolation at home, these female preachers frequently travel in luxury and eat delectable meals, according to Pastor Bamiloye.
“There is a class of female ministers who never stay at home with their husbands,” Bamiloye stated. While their spouses stay at home and run the local church by themselves, they tour the world, staying in hotels and suites while ministering and savoring the finest delicacies offered by their hosts.
He added that these spouses are sometimes accused of suppressing their wives’ dreams and callings when they attempt to voice their concerns or establish limits.
“They can spend two or three months away on missions, ‘preaching’ the gospel all over the world, while their husbands sit around the house, relying on housemaids, cousins, or nephews to feed them,” he continued.
They accuse their husband of destroying their visions and stifling their callings if he attempts to prevent them or lessen the frequency of their “mission” excursions.
“I bring you greetings from my husband, the owner of my head, the payer of my dowry, without whom I would not be here today,” they frequently say as they step behind pulpits to begin their sermons. Even if the man is lonely at home, he sends his warmest greetings.
