Thierry Mugler has died at the age of 73 his team said in a sad post on his Instagram page.
The iconic French fashion designer passed away on Sunday, Jan. 23.
His team did not announce a cause of death.
The post reads: “#RIP We are devastated to announce the passing of Mr Manfred Thierry Mugler on Sunday January 23rd 2022. May his soul Rest In Peace.”
His death appears to be unexpected, with the star not known to be in ill health.
Mugler made his name in the fashion industry throughout the 1980s and early 1990s, with his designs being showcased in many different places, from the runway to stage shows.
Throughout his illustrious career, Mugler dressed a wide range of stars across the entertainment and music world, including Kim Kardashian, Lady Gaga,George Michael,David Bowie,Beyonce,Katy Perry,Rihanna and many more.
As well as his huge clothing contributions over three decades, Mugler also left his mark in the fragrance industry after creating a large line of best-selling perfumes.
His most recent fragrance called Angel Nova hit the shelves in June 2020.
