Very Popular American Actress Identified as Dawn Elberta Wells who was known for her role as Mary Ann Summers on the CBS sitcom Gilligan’s Island has died at the age of 82.
According to reports, she died on Wednesday morning in Los Angeles from covid-19 complications.
She was Miss Nevada in the 1959 Miss America pageant, beat out 350 actresses for the role of Mary Ann Summers. She also appeared in more 150 series and several movies during her career as well as on Broadway.
Wells is survived by her stepsister, Weslee Wells.
