Mr Joe Anatune, a media aide to Goveror Charles Soludo of Anambra State, is dead.
Anatune, a reliable ally of Governor Soludo, was just recently appointed MD/CEO of the Anambra State Signage and Advertising Agency.
His demise is coming just eleven days after his appointment was announced.
Anatune, who was also the head of Soludo’s campaign media team during the election died on Saturday, April 30, two days after celebrating his 62nd birthday.
The Governor, in a statement on Sunday by his Chief Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, expressed shock over Anatune’s death.
Commiserating with Mrs. Ify Anatune, her children, his family, and the Awa community, Soludo said;
“Joe Anatune was one of the foremost Apostles of the Soludo project with an uncommon strength and courage to deliver on any given assignment,” the statement read.
“Joe’s personal sacrifices during his electioneering campaign were not only exceptional but highly commendable.
For two years, he spearheaded the Soludo Promoters Forum (SPF) and used the platform to engage professionals in mainstream politics. The government and the good people of Anambra State will sorely miss Joe Anatune.”
