On Tuesday, July 19, Governor Nyesom Wike hosted former Governor of Zamafara State, Abdulaziz Yari, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Katsina State, Sen. Yakubu Lado Danmark, and the PDP governorship candidate in Kano State, Alhaji Mohammed Abacha, in Port Harcourt, Rivers state capital.
After Yari arrived at Wike’s residence in Rumuopirikom with his company, They move to the governor’s sitting room where they had a closed-door meeting.
Shortly after Yari left, Danmark and Abacha arrived at Wike’s house and had a closed-door meeting.
Although the result of the meeting was not revealed to reporters, it is a venture that the visit of the high-profile politicians was not unconnected to the ongoing political horse-trading aimed at lobbying Wike to remain in PDP.
