At about 2.30am, the warehouse located at Wempco Road, Ogba, Ikeja Lagos which was stocked with plastic crates, belonging to Guinness Nig Ltd was engulfed in fire.
It is reported that properties worth millions of Naira was lost today due to the fire outbreak.
Dr. Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, The Director-General, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency LASEMA has confirmed the incident, although the cause of the fire has not been ascertained.
According to him, distress calls were received at 12.05 am to that effect but the Agency deployed a multi-stakeholder team comprising Agency responders, firefighters, traffic officers, and other relevant stakeholders to the scene.
No loss of life or injury was been recorded or sustained during the incident.
