In Light Of Growing Hunger And Insecurity, The AAC Condemns Tinubu’s Visit To Anambra For Governor Soludo’s Pointless Projects.

President Bola Tinubu’s recent visit to Anambra State to commission the new governor’s lodge and “Solution Fun City” has drawn criticism from the African Action Congress (AAC), Anambra State branch, which calls the activities a needless show of extravagance.

According to the AAC, the needless expenditures occur at a time when the nation and the state are struggling with hunger, insecurity, and general suffering.

In a statement issued Friday and signed by Chioma Ifemeludike, the AAC’s candidate for governor of Anambra in 2025, the party denounced what it described as Governor Charles Soludo’s administration’s misguided priorities and charged that the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) was siding with a Nigerian government that had let the Nigerian people down.

Ifemeludike expressed disappointment that President Tinubu would accept an invitation to commission projects that in no way address or confront the urgent problems facing Ndi Anambra.

“Our leaders are busy celebrating frivolities while the people are living in fear and despair due to rising insecurity, hunger, and human rights abuses.”

The AAC statement criticized the visit’s timing as politically motivated and called the projects—the new Governor’s Lodge and Solution Fun City—”frippery,” implying that they may be a part of a larger scheme to sway the state’s impending 2025 gubernatorial elections.

It is obvious that the welfare of the populace is not the focus of this so-called APGA-APC coalition. The statement said, “It is an unholy merger motivated by vested political interests.”

“I scratch your back, you scratch mine—that appears to be the reasoning behind Soludo’s candidacy for president in 2027.”

“I scratch your back, you scratch mine—that appears to be the reasoning behind Soludo’s candidacy for president in 2027.”

Ifemeludike also charged corruption, nepotism, and a disregard for the rule of law against the federal government and the state of Anambra.

She also criticized what she saw as the intentional policy of the federal government under Tinubu to marginalize the South-East area.

“Is it necessary to remind Mr. Soludo about the ongoing marginalization of Ndi-Igbo at the federal level?” “Ifemeludike said.”

By ignoring their first responsibility, which is to protect people and property, the Soludo and Tinubu administrations have utterly failed Ndi Anambra and Nigerians.

The AAC advised citizens of Anambra to be on guard, to reject political ploys, and to hold their leaders responsible.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) was also urged by the party to guarantee that the November 2025 gubernatorial election is free and accurately represents popular will.

We implore Ndi Anambra to focus intently on the events unfolding in front of them. This is political prostitution, not government,” the statement continued.

“The purpose of AAC is to free the populace from the bonds of subpar leadership. INEC shall conduct a free and fair election in accordance with the law.
