KANO: Police Come To The Rescue Of Man Locked Up For 7 Years

On Thursday evening, Kano Police rescued a man named Ahmad Aliyu,32 who had been locked up in a room for seven years by his father and stepmother.

The Police and human rights groups came to the rescue of Aliyu who is a resident of Farawa Babban Layi in Mariri quarters of Kumbotso local government area in Kano metropolis who was allegedly accused of drug abuse by his fathers.

However, it was a few people who reside in the neighbourhood that reported Aliyu’s situation to the police and human rights group.

Mr Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, the Spokesman of the Kano Police Command, confirmed the incident saying they are still gathering facts but the parents have been invited for questioning.
