Kogi Elections: PDP Has Given Criteria To Participate In Polls

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) on Thursday said it would only participate in the forthcoming local council elections in Kogi state if the process is made transparent enough.

The party made this known in a statement co-signed by the party’s state publicity secretary, Bode Ogunmola, and the state PDP chairman, Sam Uhuotu a day after the state executive council meeting of the party held on Wednesday.

The party leadership advocated for grassroots mobilization while urging its members to work together as a team and endeavour to forgive one another of past mistakes for the success of the party moving forward.

The PDP also assured its members of a very bright future for the party.

Also, the executive committee reiterated its commitment to the development and progress of the party.

Meanwhile, the national leadership of the PDP on Thursday blasted President Muhammadu Buhari for telling his ministers to be proud of their achievements.

The President made this comment during the 2020 minister’s retreat in Abuja on Wednesday.

Disgruntled by the statement, the PDP slammed Buhari for being insensitive to the plights of Nigerians who are feeling the hardship of the policies of his administration since he took over in 2015, adding that the President is only celebrating failure.
