Massive Explosion Rocks Lebanon Leaving Over 78 Dead and 4000 Injured.

On Tuesday, there was a massive explosion at the port in the capital Beirut. The lebanese authority says that the explosion claimed at least 78 lives and left 4000 wounded.

Although the cause of the Explosion is yet to be clear but reports have it that it is linked to a warehouse where 2,700 tonnes of confisticated ammonium nitrate had been stored for the past 6years.

However, Michel Aoun, President of the Lebanese Republic confirming the explosion said it is very unacceptable to have 2,700 tonnes of ammonium nitrate stored in a warehouse for six years without any safety measures.

He has called for an emergency meeting and said a two-week state of emergency should be declared.

Aoun, has set up an investigation committee to find out who is responsible for the blast within 5 days. While the families of those affected will be paid compensated.

He also declared that those found responsible would face the Harshest punishment.
