Matheus Barbosa, SuperBike Star Dies In A Horrific Crash

On Sunday, November 8, superbike star, Matheus Barbosa, 23 died in a horrific crash at Interlagos, Sao Paula after losing control of his motor bike.

According to reports, Matheus was having difficulties during the race before he lost control of his Kawasaki bike and collided with a metal barrier at interlagos circuit on the outskirts of Sao Paulo during a superbike event.

Following the incident, the race was called off with 10 laps yet to be completed.

A spokesperson said:

”The nearest medical team reached Matheus in less than 60 seconds but despite all their efforts he succumbed to his critical injuries.

”The cause of the accident is still being investigated. Out of respect to Matheus, and above all his family, the remaining day’s activities were immediately cancelled.

”The competition was being held with all the necessary security conditions established by the appropriate authorities.

” The organisation’s priority at this time is to really support Matheus’ family.”
