NYSC Urges Filmmakers To Get Proper Approval Before Using Corps Members’ Uniforms While shooting Their Movies

The National Youth Service Corps has called on filmmakers to get proper approval before using corps members’ uniforms while shooting their movies.

According to the NYSC Assistant Director of Legal Services, Mr. Christain Oru, stated this during a meeting between the National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB) and creative industry stakeholders on enhancing laws and strengthening of professional guilds and association.

Speaking further, he said that filmmakers must submit their scripts to NYSC before approval, to enable the commission to observe how it would be portrayed in the movie and that it is now illegal to use the NYSC uniform in movies without approval.
