RIVERS: 5 People Sentenced To Death By Hanging For The Murder Of A Staff Of SPDC

Anthony Okoro, a staff of Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) was shot dead in his house and his body taken away in Woji Area of Port Harcourt in May 2017.

They were also reported to have parted away with a Range Rover vehicle, a Kia Optima, and television sets, among other items belonging to Okoro.

However, a High Court sitting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State has sentenced five persons to death by hanging for the death of the Shell Staff.

Presiding Judge, George Omereji found five of them guilty but absolved two of the defendants.

Those convicted were Oluchi Charles, Miracle Anumuna, Ifeanyi Simon,  Koko Bassey and Uchendu Stanley Amaechi.
