An explosion that rocked a passengers-carrying minibus has killed ten people and left another 12 injured.
The explosion occurred near Lafole village, outside Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia early this morning, Sunday, 31st of May.
A statement by Somalia’s information minister confirmed this incident ” At least ten civilians were killed in an explosion at Lafole area this morning, those who died were all civilians” he said—further stating that the dead passengers will be taken to a funeral.
According to eyewitnesses, the passenger bus was destroyed, leaving the passengers either dead or seriously wounded.
The al Qaeda-aligned Shabaab terrorist group are notorious for carrying out attacks in and around Somalia’s capital, but neither them not any other group has claimed responsibility for the explosion
