Nigerian Olympic Athlete, Ese Brume, wins the bronze medal in the women’s long jump.
The 2019 African Games champion, won Team Nigeria their first medal at the Tokyo Olympic Games with a bronze medal in the women’s long jump event.
She recorded an impressive 6.97 metres jump in the final of the event at the Tokyo Olympic Stadium to win her first Olympic medal.
The News Agency of Nigeria, reported that, Brume placed behind American Brittney Reese who claimed the silver medal with a jump of 6.97m also.
The athlete then had to settle for bronze because her second best effort of 6.67m was unable to match up to Reese’s 6.81m.
