A Native Nigerian Physician Is Accused Of Burying People Alive In A Sewage Pit.

The incident took place in the hamlet of Umumba Ndiagu, which is located in Enugu State’s Ezeagu Local Government Area.

In Enugu State, a local doctor was nabbed by vigilante agents on Monday for reportedly ritually burying many persons alive in a sewage pit, causing anger.

The incident took place in the community of Umumba Ndiagu, which is located in Enugu’s Ezeagu Local Government Area.Onyeka Obu has been identified as the native physician. He goes by the nicknames Ozo Ezeani and “E dey play, E dey show.”

The native doctor is accused of dumping individuals in the sewage pit in a number of graphic video recordings that have been making the rounds on Facebook.

Residents informed PREMIUM TIMES that the local doctor’s residence and his cars were set on fire by the irate youngsters when they learned of the discovery.

“It is evident from the dead bodies discovered in Ezeani’s soakaway (sewage pit) that he was a ritualist rather than a native physician,” resident Emeka Ozougwu informed this newspaper. The video recordings showed several locals expressing their indignation over the occurrence.

How it was discovered

According to residents who spoke to PREMIUM TIMES, the native doctor’s alleged crime was discovered when two of his employees allegedly kidnapped a 13-year-old girl from the neighborhood.

The girl was then shoved into the sewer hole, according to a local who wished to remain anonymous.

In a video recording, the 13-year-old girl (name withheld) described how the boys threw her aboard their motorcycle and took off.

In a different video, the girl’s father acknowledged that she had been kidnapped while he was there, but he was unable to find or apprehend the kidnappers.

According to reports, dad believed his daughter’s kidnappers were kidnappers and reported the incident to the local vigilante organization.

Some vigilante officers later saw the youths carrying the girl on their motorcycle and followed them to the native doctor’s apartment, according to a resident who wished to remain anonymous.

The resident claimed that before attempting to divert the agents from entering his residence, Mr. Ezeani first tried to fool them by professing surprise at the incident.

He claimed that after hearing the girl’s incessant crying, the agents broke into the native doctor’s continuing construction site.

“The youths later arrived at the scene,” he added, adding that the vigilantes had explored the area and discovered the soakaway (sewage pit).

One of the vigilantes’ leaders described how they apprehended the local physician and saved the 13-year-old girl from the sewage hole.

We found the girl in the pit when we got inside the house. Several dead bodies were seen in the hole when we flashed our torchlight. The vigilante leader, who wished to remain anonymous, declared, “We have now saved the girl.”

According to him, the local physician and his guys are members of the “White Club Kingdom,” a covert organization, but they frequently pose as part of a benign group.

In the meantime, there are rumors that Mr. Ezeani has been disowned by a group of local native doctors who maintain that he was never one of it.

This was not independently verified by PREMIUM TIMES.

Demolition

Vitalis Ndu, the chairperson of the Ezeagu Local Government Area, visited the sewage pit and the native doctor’s apartment on Tuesday. It was reported that Mr. Ndu instructed the Enugu State Government to take appropriate action.

Because of the event, PREMIUM TIMES learned that the state administration had destroyed the native doctor’s apartment.

“Now happening: The kidnapers’ and ritualists’ den in Umumba Ndiagu, where security personnel recovered dead bodies and kidnapped victims, is up for demolition,” Josh Ejeh, an Enugu State assistant to Governor Peter Mbah, said on Facebook Tuesday evening.

“I’m there to look at the progress. Enugu has no place for kidnappers or ritualists.

Later, Mr. Ejeh posted a video of the demolition of the native doctor’s buildings.

Up till today, the Enugu State Government has been tearing down properties connected to violent crimes and kidnappings in the state.

The state administration claims that Section 315 (Second Amendment) of the Criminal Code Law, Cap 30, Laws of Enugu State 2017, supports the demolition of such properties.

Calls and a text message asking Daniel Ndukwe, the Enugu State police spokesperson, for his views were not answered.
