Two teenagers arrested for kidnapping 8-yr-old child in Edo State
The Edo State Police Command has arrested two teenagers, Destiny Osevaru, 13, and 18-year-old Godstime Obioko, over the alleged abduction of an eight-year-old child in Uromi area of the state.
It was gathered that the suspects had subsequently taken their victim to an uncompleted building where they tied her down with the intent to demand ransom from her parents.
The command’s spokesperson, SP Kontongs Bello in a statement said the victim was however lucky to be rescued by a good Samaritan who found her tied down in the building, while her captors were aware
According to the statement, “They tied and kept her in an uncompleted building while they left her there to charge their phone so that they can be able to contact her parents. On coming back, they discovered that the girl has been rescued by an unknown person.
The suspect further confesses that they intend to demand N500,000 from the parents before she was eventually rescued.”
