Nigerian Singer Davido has sent a strong message to all secret admirers of his fiancé Chioma Avril Rowland.
The reaction came after one of his fans reminded him of the Igbo tradition clause as regards his marital responsibilities.

The man wrote:

Are you married? You are still on higher purchase. Till you do the necessary things as Igbo tradition demand. If another man marry your wife at this point you will loose your son to that man. That is our tradition bro.”

It would be recalled that he did  an introduction before the fiancee gave birth. But that alone does not guarantee him the father right of the son as regards the igbo tradition.

Catholics in Nigeria have been asked to wear black outfits on Ash Wednesday to protest rising insecurity in the country.

The directive was communicated in a statement by Catholics Bishops’ Conference of Nigeria.

The statement signed by Augustine Akubeze and Camillus Umoh, President and Secretary of CBCN respectively, reads, “As a mark of mourning all our brothers and sisters who have been victims of the most recent wave of violence against Christians, we are all dressed in black today and offer our prayers and penance for their repose.

“We invite the universal church and all Christians to join us in prayers for our dead brothers and sisters and for peace and security in Nigeria.

“We equally appeal to the international community to come to the aid of the Nigerian Government in the fight against terrorists, who want to destabilise our country.

“The repeated barbaric executions of Christians by Boko Haram insurgents and incessant cases of kidnapping for ransom linked to the same group and other terrorists have traumatised many citizens.”

Obaseki says to Oshiomhole: Visiting without official notification is impunity

Oshiomhole and Obaseki: The duo have been messy war

Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State on Sunday took a swipe at the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, for breaking protocol whenever he visited the state without official notification.

He spoke when he played host to former President Goodluck Jonathan who paid him a private visit, after visiting the family of Chief Gabriel Igbinedion, wondered why the former Governor who knew the protocol would deliberately refuse to follow it.

Oshiomhole who was in Benin on Saturday to attend the burial ceremony of late Madam Cecilia Agbonyinma, mother of Hon. Ehiozuwa Agbonyinma, was booed at the Benin Airport by some youths.

His convoy was also pelted with empty water cans, even as heavy security presence at the airport barred the youths from getting close to the convoy.

Also, the road leading to Oshiomhole’s residence was barricaded with two trucks, one of which was later set ablaze.

It was gathered that the barricade was to prevent any political meetings from holding at Oshiomhole’s residence.

Security was later beefed up around the house to forestall any attacks at night.

But, speaking to newsmen about the airport incident, Obaseki said Oshiomhole should have informed the state government about his visit to the state.

Jonathan had told journalists: “Traditionally, for somebody who has been a President, when he goes to a state, he has to pay a courtesy call to the Governor of the state. If you are not free, fine, but at least I informed him.”

Addressing journalists after Jonathan’s visit, Obaseki criticised Oshiomhole for breaking protocol by his failure to formally notify his office whenever he visits the state.

He said “He (Jonathan) is just extending the courtesy, as the President, someone who has served the country in the highest level and you heard what he said.

“There is a courtesy when you are going to visit a state, you want to inform the person in charge of the state that you are coming and when you have time during a visit, you can now pay him a courtesy call.

“Unlike the unfortunate incident, we have been having in Edo State. It is really sad where somebody who had been the Governor of a state visiting the state and does not realize that courtesy demands that he should inform the governor or the governor apparatus of his visit and the chief executive in charge of his security when he is in the state.

“It is really sad and unfortunate that people who have served, who should know better decided to behave the way they do or behave with impunity and other sense of lawlessness.”

Reality star Nina Ivy shared photos from her traditional marriage earlier in February, and while she looked stunning, she refused to give us a look at the groom.

Since then, fans of hers have been asking to see her husband.

Well, Nina is now explaining why she hasn’t given us a look at the lucky man.

In an interview with Punch, the “Big Brother Naija” finalist shared that her husband is a very private man. She said:

I didn’t know that I would get married early; it just happened. I think it was God’s perfect timing. My hubby is extremely private and we are fine the way it is.

When the time for my white wedding comes, family and close friends would definitely be notified. I’m not yet sure how I want it.

Only a man that wants to be snatched will be. Trust me, we are very good. On if it’s a stunt, let’s wait and see. For now, everything is private.

Like I always say, speak your truth, know your truth and stand for the truth. That has been my motto lately and though it might not sit well with some people, I’m sure the world will adjust. One should just do one.

Pray and live your life because your happiness comes first. You have to be happy to share happiness with someone else.

Veteran actress Ngozi Ezeonu allegedly commits “taboo” marries off daughter without father’s consent

ngozi ezeonu

It was an shocking scene at a wedding ceremony of  the daughter of a veteran film actress Ngozi Ezeonu.
Ngozi has been accused of marrying off her daughter, Ogechukwu Ezeonu without the consent of her ex husband.
The glamorous wedding took place on Saturday 15th February, 2020.
Ngozi’s ex husband Dennis Ezeonu was apparently absent at the wedding ceremony.

Breaking his silence, mr Ezeonu further exposed that his ex wife married off his daughter without his consent .
He noted that a woman cannot marry off another woman, so long he is concerned, his daughter is not married. In an interview, Ngozi’s ex-husband  stated that to him, his daughter, Ogechukwu Edwina Ezeonu is not married yet but only partook in a ‘Nollywood movie shoot’.

“I’m the real son of the soil in Igbo land and I am knowledgeable enough to some extent concerning Igbo marriage tradition in Anambra State. In the whole of Anambra State where I belong, a woman does not and has no legitimate right whatsoever to give out a fellow woman’s hand in marriage.

“It is an abomination and taboo. As such, Ngozi Denis Ikpelue has no legitimate right and authority to give out Ogechukwu Edwina Ezeonu’s hand in marriage. As long as I and the entire family of Ezeonu and his kindred are concerned, Ogechukwu Edwina Ezeonu is not married.

“Ogechukwu Edwina Ezeonu is yet to marry. What happened at Asaba Delta State on the 15th of February 2020 was the usual Nollywood home video film shooting. As at the time I lived with Ngozi Denis Ikpelue, I have three children; a daughter and two boys.

“Concerning my relationship with Ngozi Denis Ikpelue it is no speculations; the marriage relationship packed up a long time ago. Sometime in the year 2013.”

Mr Dennis further revealed that “Ngozi ceased to be my wife after a court dissolution of the marriage, with suit No ID/429/HD/2013  on  02/01 /2015”.

He said “his ex wife has been deceiving the world claiming to be still married to me, but it is all false”.
The veteran actress is yet to make comment over the allegations by the ex husband.

It was all fun and enjoyment for the Nollywood celebrities who stepped out glamorously to honour the wedding of veteran actress Ngozi Ezeonu’s daughter.

The mother of the bride was in a joyous mood on Saturday as her daughter, Oge, tied the knot with her lover, Remi, at a ceremony in Asaba, Delta state.

The wedding saw the likes of Ebele OkaroChinyere WilfredChristabelEve EsinEbiwari Etuk and lots more in attendance.
