A Politician From Abia Attacks A Bolt Driver And Threatens To Kill Him

Alex Mascot Ikwechegh, a member of the House of Representatives for the Aba North/Aba South federal Constituency, was caught on video assaulting a Bolt driver who was sent to bring a package to his home in Abuja.

On the video, the new member from the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) is heard saying that he can keep the driver from coming back anywhere in Nigeria and nothing will happen.

After hitting the driver three times, he told him he was a Senator of the Republic and threatened to deal with him. He also said he would not pay for the service because the driver was rude.

He had not yet replied to a WhatsApp message that The Nation sent to his phone at the time this story was written. It took even longer for the House spokesman to answer.

The full text of what happened between the lawmaker and the driver is shown below:Hon. Alex: Are you aware of your location? Do you know who I am? You think I’ll give you my money after the way you talked to me?

Driver: You need to pay me for the work I did for you.

Alex: If you treat people this badly, you won’t get any money from me. You’re really stupid. As he talks on the phone, someone can hear him being very very stupid. Who is this stupid boy that you sent to my house, Madam? Who is this stupid kid you sent to my house? What kind of a jerk can come to my house and tell me I need to meet him in his car to pick up the snails I bought from him?

Can you picture this rat? This man can go away in a different part of Nigeria, and nothing will happen. Can you picture this rat? I’m not going to give this boy any of my money. No, no, no. I’m. I’m not going to give this jerk any of my money.

Driver: You’ve been calling me names, and I’ve been quiet.

Alex: I hope that you do too. I beg you to insult me. Could you please insult me? I’m not going to get my cops to beat you up. I’m going to beat you up to show you that I’m your big brother. I’m going to hit you hard and put you in my generator room while I smack you. Why do you dare? Would you mind telling me who you are? Are you aware of your location? Is it because you see me sitting here?

Driver: Sir, please pay me and let me go.

Alex: Oh, look at this monkey. Are you sure you can beat me when you look at me? Who the hell do you think you are (he hits the driver)? Do you know who I am? This is my second hit as a Senator of the Republic. Do you have any idea who I am? You’re so rude.

Driver: Really, sir? Are you hitting me?

Alex: (picked up the phone) There you have it. I’ll deal with you now.

Driver: Really, sir? Are you hitting me?

Alex: I did it now and will be back. Why do you dare? His dare you? How dare you? Do you know who I am?

Driver: Did you hit me three times?

Alex: I just did two, and the third one will be sent to you soon. Why do you dare? Get the hell out of here.

Driver: I need to be paid. This is where I am (telling a story). This guy hit me three times because I told him to come. Pay me back and take his stuff. He says. (Cuts in)

Alex: Tell them. I am a member of the House of Representatives, and my name is Hon. Alex Mascot Ikwecheg. Tell them I hit you. Press the police chief’s button. Get him to come here by calling him. Take good notes on me. You were rude to me when you came to my house.

Driver: I didn’t treat you badly. I told you to give me my money and leave.

This was the end of the short movie.
