The former Nigerian head of state and commander in chief of the armed forces federal republic of Nigeria, Abdulsalami Abubakar. Abdulsalam Abubarkar worked as the chairman reconciliation committee to resolve the issue between Emir Muhammadu Sanusi Lamido Sanusi II and the Kano state government.
Abdulsalami Abubakar Laments about Sanusi Exit
General Abdulsalam Abubarkar in his reaction to the removal of Muhammadu Sanusi over Voice of America Hausa Service expressed his dissatisfaction over the issue, he pointed that he held meetings with both the emir Muhammadu Sanusi and the governor of Kano State Abdullahi Ganduje but unfortunately the reconciliation did not end well as the Governor finally removed the Emir.
General Abubarkar emphasized that the committee have an amicable resolution between the Emir and the governor but to his surprise the governor latter removed the Emir which make the efforts of the committee be a ”wasted one”.
The Kano State Executive Council approved the removal of Muhammadu Sanusi on Monday 9th March, 2020 and send him on an exile to Loko town in Nasarawa state and replaced him with Aminu Bayero who is the son of late Emir Ado Bayero.
