ABUJA: Nine Men Arraigned In Court For Selling Hard Drugs

On Thursday, in Life camp Magistrate court, Nine men were arraigned in court by the police for selling hard drugs.

According to ASP Peter Ejike, the police prosecutor,at about 9:30pm on thursday, a team attached to Gwarinpa Division arrested the victims.

The nine suspects include: Ralwanu Shehu, 30, Bashiru Mohammadu, 27, Mohammed Abubakar,32 , Zayyanu Abubakar, 22, Safiyanu Umar, 25, Bashiru Bala, 31, Sani Umar, 22, Aliyu Bello,26 , Sanusi Kabiru,24 all of no fixed address with constituting public nuisance.

He also stated that they were caught, consuming and selling harmful drugs. That they have been warned before to stop constituiting a nuisance but have refused to desist from such act.

Chief Magistrate Celestine Odo, admitted the defendants to bail in the sum of N30, 000 and two sureties in like sum for all defendants.

Odo ordered that the sureties be resident within the jurisdiction of the court and should deposit a valid means of Identification which must be verified by the court registrar.

He adjourned the matter until Aug.31, for hearing.
