On Thursday, at about 1:30pm, around the Isara Bridge on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Remo-North Local Government Area of Ogun State, a Ford bus with number plate LND 631 XX rammed into a stationary Iveco truck with number plate KTU 608 XW.
Confirming the incident, Mr. Babatunde Akinbiyi, spokesperson for the Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps in the state, said:
“One of the passengers in the bus died on the spot, while the driver and the other passenger are recuperating in hospital,”
He explained that it was caused by reckless driving and loss of control on the part of the bus driver.
He went on to urge motorists to avoid reckless driving and to concentrate more behind the wheels.
