Airtel Africa has recorded a revenue of $899 million for the end of the first quarter of 2020. In a recent announcement made by the company, the Q1 2020 revenue of Airtel Africa has gone up by a whopping 15% from the $871 million recorded in Q1 of 2019
Bharti Airtel, the parent company of Airtel Africa, an Indian company is one of the largest telecom companies in the world. Bharti Airtel has operations in 14 countries around the world, delivering voice, data, tower and mobile money services to its over 11o million customers.
In the Q1 report, Airtel Africa reported that voice services hold the highest share of the revenue after a 5.9% growth to the current figure of $510 million. It further stated that the bulk of this revenue came from Nigeria where it boasts of 41.8 million mobile subscribers.
