Anti-Semitism Is Not Being Seen In Europe

Over the last hundred years or so, you’d think that Europeans would have learned a few things about anti-Semitism. At the very least, we should know that what starts with the cruel oppression of Jews usually ends with killing a lot of other people as well. No, though. That is, if we did, we seem to have forgotten about it, which is normal in these tough times. Or maybe we think that the way Jews are being treated badly in Europe now is different from how they were treated in Germany in the early 1930s. There is some anti-Semitism going on, but it’s not as bad as the kind that little crazy Austrian with the fake mustache was spreading. A little more of an excuse.

It could be because of this that we don’t do anything when Jews are attacked in our streets other than say meaningless things. Nothing but nonsense about how bad things are and how we need to work together. They never tell the whole truth or make sure it won’t happen again, even though leaders always say, “It must never happen again.” It takes place again the following week, this time in Europe. It’s also not a new kind of anti-Semitism. It’s the tried-and-true old brand, which is based on racism, stupidity, lies, and doublethink. It was the same kind of propaganda that Goebbels and others used, with the same tired tropes, false claims, and hatred.

Something might be done if our leaders and TV news shows could bring themselves to call it all “Far-Right Terrorism.” We all know that Far-Right Terrorism is the biggest threat to our democracy. They don’t, though. But it is, of course, far-right terrorism, lowercase. The real far-right terrorism that our leaders don’t want to think about, and they even jail people who complain too much about it.

About a week ago, the Dutch football team Ajax of Amsterdam played an away cup game against the Israeli team Maccabi Tel Aviv. As a result, what the media carefully call “pro-Palestinian” thugs attacked the visiting Jewish fans, leaving five people hospitalized and 20 to 30 more hurt. According to one Dutch politician, many of the killings were done by young men on mopeds. These men may have been Moroccan, which is as close as you can get to naming the real people who did these things. The Israeli government was shocked and quickly booked two planes to bring the football fans back home from the smelly ghetto that some parts of the liberal, good Netherlands have turned into. Dutch lawmakers got ready to say nice things. President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, who is known for never having a good idea, was one of the first to speak out: “I strongly condemn these unacceptable acts.” Anti-Semitism has no place in Europe at all. We will not give up until we stop all kinds of hate.

Read that empty bilge again. It starts with hazy and bloodless “unacceptable acts” and ends with a promise she has no intention of keeping. Also, anti-Semitism has no place in Europe, right? On the contrary, Ursula. It has in a huge number of places, mostly because of laws that people like you have made. As it turns out, a lot of Muslims from the Maghreb and the Levant have moved in Europe, in that crescent-shaped area that goes from northwest France through Belgium to Rotterdam and the Hague and now further north to Malmo. I just realized that there might be a link between these two things. You can be sure that the mainstream media and leaders will not make it if there is one.

But, of course, there is a lot of anti-Semitism in London and Manchester, and we haven’t done anything about it. London’s Jews are scared and targeted every time Hamas supporters and the white liberal left’s useful idiots chant about rivers and seas they don’t know how to name. There are not even 150,000 Jews living in London, but they have been attacked more than 2,000 times in the last year. The woman who was hit in the face and dragged to the ground for putting up a sign asking that the hostages be released. Or something like what this young Jewish man had to deal with on a Tube train in November of last year: “I was talking to my friend when I heard someone next to me say “pigs.” The guy next to me was on FaceTime and said, “I’m on the train with a bunch of dirty Jewish pigs, scumbags, and baby killers.” Think about how angry and angry people would have been if that had happened to someone of a different race.

Don’t think this is all about what Israel did in Gaza, even if that’s what is being used as an excuse. This is a very old problem that goes to the heart of Islam, and it was there before October 7, 2023. This is a theme that keeps coming up. Activists for Palestinian rights almost always tell me, “off the record,” “Well, there’s a reason everyone hates them, my fren.” The lies then start to come out. They are very familiar lies that take us back to Treblinka and Sobibor. Isis believed in Hitler and still can’t bring itself to give him up. Hamas’s beliefs come straight from Mein Kampf and the Third Reich. In these ideas, the Jews are responsible for everything, including communism, capitalism, all wars, enslaving other races, ruling the media, and so on, and must be killed. So, genocide: very clear and direct. We are strangely afraid to say this simple thing, though.

Can we point the finger a little further if we really think that anti-Semitism has no place in Europe? When we say “never again,” we really mean it.
