In the early hours of Tuesday, August 24, bandits reportedly invaded the Nigerian Defense Academy in Kaduna, killed two officers, and abducted one.
According to a top source, top officers and management of the institution were holding meeting over the incident as at the time of filing this report.
“Bandits in their large number attacked NDA Afaka and kidnapped 1 Offr; Maj Datong while Lt Cdr Wulah and Flt Lt CM Okoronwo were shot dead. 2Lt Onah sustained gunshot injury and currently receiving treatment.”
The source added the bandits originally attempted to gain entrance into the cadets hostels but were repelled and in the process killed the two officers and abducted the other.
Major Bashir Jajira, NDA Public Relations Officer stated that an official statement would be released soon.
The Nigerian Defense Academy is located at is located on Kaduna-Lagos highway and about 10 kilometers away from the Kaduna city centre.
