Beginning On Monday, Nigerians Will See Thunderstorms And Rain For Three Days Across The Country

Because there is a significant chance of urban flooding in major cities as a result of heavy downpours, NiMet recommended the people to stay away from flood-prone locations.
Nigerians will see rain and thunderstorms across the country for three days starting on Monday.

From Monday through Wednesday, the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has forecasted rain and thunder throughout the nation.

In isolated thunderstorms over portions of Katsina, Sokoto, Kano, Zamfara, Kebbi, Kaduna, Adamawa, and Taraba state in the northern region on Monday morning, according to NiMet’s weather outlook, which was announced on Sunday in Abuja.

Isolated thunderstorms are predicted to occur later in the day over portions of the states of Kaduna, Borno, Gombe, Bauchi, Adamawa, Yobe, Taraba, Sokoto, Zamfara, and Kebbi.
In the morning, areas of Benue, Niger, the Federal Capital Territory, Kogi, and Kwara States could expect sporadic rainfall.

“Localized rains are expected over portions of the Federal Capital Territory, Plateau, Niger, and Nasarawa states in the afternoon and evening hours.”

It stated, “During the morning hours, isolated rains are expected over parts of Ebonyi, Abia, Imo, Enugu, Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers, and cross-river States.”

Localized rains are expected later in the day over portions of the states of Ebonyi, Abia, Imo, Enugu, Ondo, Anambra, Osun, Oyo, Akwa Ibom, Ogun, Cross River, Rivers, Bayelsa, and Edo.

During Tuesday morning, the agency predicted sporadic thunderstorms over portions of Borno, Bauchi, Gombe, Adamawa, and Taraba States.

Subsequently, scattered thunderstorms were predicted to pass over portions of the states of Jigawa, Bauchi, Kaduna, Gombe, Yobe, Zamfara, Borno, Sokoto, Taraba, Kebbi, and Kano.

“During the early hours, sporadic rains are predicted over portions of the states of Benue, Kogi, the Federal Capital Territory, and Nasarawa.

“Isolated showers are predicted for later in the day over the Federal Capital Territory, Plateau, states of Kwara, Nasarawa, and Benue.

“Parts of the states of Edo, Ondo, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Delta, Rivers, and Bayelsa are predicted to experience sporadic rain in the morning hours.”

It stated, “Intermittent rains are predicted for the entire Southern region later in the day.”
According to the report, thunderstorms are predicted for Wednesday morning over portions of the states of Kebbi, Bauchi, Sokoto, Borno, and Katsina.

Isolated thunderstorms are predicted to occur over portions of the states of Taraba, Adamawa, Kano, Katsina, Sokoto, Zamfara, and Kebbi in the afternoon and evening.

It stated, “Morning rains are expected over parts of the Niger States and Federal Capital Territory.”

NiMet reports that later in the day, isolated thunderstorms with rain are predicted across portions of the Plateau, the states of Nasarawa, and Niger.

Cloudy skies were expected across the southern region in the morning, with the possibility of moderate showers later in the day over parts of Abia, Ebonyi, Ondo, Imo, Edo, Rivers, Delta, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, and Cross River States.

“In areas where thunderstorms are likely to occur, strong winds may precede the rains; the public should take appropriate precautions.”
