On Tuesday, January 23, the US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, arrived in Nigeria.
He landed in Nigeria at 4.40 p.m. local time and was welcomed by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, and Yusuf Tuggar, Minister of Foreign Affairs.
It was gathered that due to his arrival being later than initially planned, his convoy went straight to the villa to meet up with the 6 p.m. appointment with President Bola Tinubu.
He will depart Abuja at about 10 pm for Lagos where he will meet with business owners and other Non Governmental Organizations.
He will depart for Angola tomorrow night.
Nigeria is the third country he is visiting on his Africa tour, aimed at building better bilateral relations and partnerships with the African continent.
