Adesile Mayowa 38, has been sentenced to three months imprisonment by a Chief Magistrate Court sitting in Ado-Ekiti for stealing packs of bottled water.
Mrs. Titilayo Ola-Olorun, the Chief Magistrate, sentenced the convict who pleaded guilty to the offense, He was, however, given an option of a N10,000 fine.
The police prosecutor, Insp Johnson Okunade, told the court that the convict went to the shop of one Alhaji Babalola Isiaka and stole six-packs of bottled water.
The magistrate ordered the convict to be remanded in custody until he pays the fine.
