According to reports, 14 team members and staff have tested positive for coronavirus at Genoa club.
The affected team members and staff are said to have returned positive reslts to covid-19 after their 6-0 defeat to Napoli on Sunday.
Although the Italian club did not mention the affected members, it said in a statement:
‘After today’s tests, the number of COVID-19 positive employees has risen to 14 team members and staff.
‘The club has activated all the procedures according to the protocol and informed the authorities. The club will provide updates as the situation evolves.’
The club will push to postpone their upcoming match against Torino, even if the league plays on.
Genoa sporting director Daniele Faggiano said: ‘I think we will ask for the postponement,’We can’t train.’
