COVID-19: Federal Government Receives ‘ Smart Testing Booths’ From Korea

On Thursday, the Federal Government in Abuja received a donation of smart testing booths from the government of the Republic of Korea.

The Smart testing booths were donated to help boost the government’s efforts to ramp up testing for the virus.

Chikwe Ihekweazu, the Director-General of the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) while receiving the items said this will help the covid-19 sample collection and testing capacity and to reduce infection.

Woochan Chang, the Country Director of the Korea International Cooperation Agency also gave an applause to the Federal Government on its response to the pandemic.

” The Smart Walk- through Booths will improve protection for Medical staff during sample collection, and support mas screening for COVID-19 in a timely and efficient manner.”

Also at the event was Senator Adeleke Mamora, the Minister of State for Health who thanked and appreciated the Korean Government for its steady support to strengthen Nigeria’s response to the pandemic.
