Portuguese football player Cristiano Ronaldo has been named as the highest-paid sportsman on the planet following his switch to Saudi Arabia.
Recall that Ronaldo swapped Manchester United for Al-Nassr in January following his bombshell interview with Piers Morgan.
The Portuguese megastar is reported to be on £175million-per-year with his new outfit, enough to see him top the table.
According to the reports, Ronaldo has now raked in $ 136 million (£ 107 million) over the past 12 months – topping their rich list for a third time. Ronaldo’s eye-watering income is also the most the list has ever seen, with the majority of his income coming from brand deals off the pitch. He has a total net worth of around £ 400 million.
However, it’s footballers that round out the top three with PSG duo Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe finishing second and third.
Messi has reportedly taken home an eye-watering $ 130 million (£ 104 million) over the past 12 months. While Mbappe has taken home $ 120 million (£ 96 million), amazingly, Mbappe has the highest on-field earnings of the trio.
