DELTA: Two Pastors, A Member Reportedly Kidnapped By Unknown Gunmen

In Aniocha South Local Government Area of Delta State, two pastors and a member of a Pentecostal church have been reportedly kidnapped by unknown gunmen.

According to reports, one of the kidnapped pastors, Paul Okozi, and the other pastor and a member had gone to inspect the church’ new building project when the incident occurred.

A source said:

“The two pastors with some members of the church went to the building site when the incident occurred.

“The kidnappers were armed and already to battle any hindrances.

“One of the church members who narrowly escaped ran to town and informed everybody about the development.”

Confirnming the incident, DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya, Police Public Relations Officer of the state stated that only one pastor was kidnapped.

She said:

“Only one pastor was kidnapped. They went to buy land or something like that when he was kidnapped.

“The police are on top of the situation to rescue the victim and consequently arrest the suspects. No information yet on whether the kidnappers have made contact.”
