Wiebe Boer, also known as Yohanna Maigona, a Dutch Nigerian, has expressed his interest in the Plateau State governorship contest.
It was gathered that Maigona’s chosen party is not registered with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
In a poster that has since gone viral on the internet, Maigona is set to contest on the platform of the “All for All Peoples Party”.
According to the reports, Maigona has lived in Jos all his life and speaks the Hausa language fluently.
Maigona, an adopted uncle to Nigerian rapper, MI Abaga, is also said to have attended a Secondary school in the city.
The Sarkine Bature of Plateau is the CEO of All On Energy, a company involved in producing renewable energy, such as solar power.
The governorship aspirants also have an affiliation with the Pan African Writers Association(PAWA).
On 12 May 2021, Maigona, also officially called Wiebe Boer, was the interviewer of Professor Wole Soyinka, the first guest of PAWA’s Conversation Series.
