The Economic Finance Crime Commission (EFCC) Has Held the former Nigeria Senate President, Bukola Saraki in custody over the mismanagement of public funds and money laundering accusations that was charged against him.
The 61st APC Congress-man was embarrassed and arrested during a wedding ceremony at one of the biggest Event Centre in Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
It was believed that the former Governor of North-Central Kwara state arrived at commission’s office around 2pm on Saturday. Meanwhile, the EFCC office has duly followed all processes of getting the December born Congress-man arrested of misappropriation of funds during his tenure as the 13th senate president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
To Recall few of the former incidents, It was recorded by the federal high Court had sometimes in May 2019 issued a restraining order, also, the Department of State Service (DSS) restricting both commissions, from probing Saraki allegations.
Sources says that he was taken away after the wedding ceremony which he attended as a Honorary guest at the event.
