Suicide is the act of one intentionally taking his own life due to depression, anxiety, etc
With the high rate of both the young and old indulging in this act, I decided to write this article to explain and give everyone hope, especially those who are down mentally, physically, and spiritually.
In many cases, suicide can be prevented. Learn the risk factors and warning signs, which include depression, change in personality, self-harm behavior recent life crisis, and conversation about wanting to die. If a family member or friend talks about suicide, take them seriously. Listen without judgment and encourage them to seek professional help.
BIBLICAL ASPECT ON SUICIDE
The Bible views suicide as equal to murder, which is what it is—self-murder. God is the only one who is to decide when and how a person should die.
God is the giver of life. He gives, and He takes away (Job 1:21). Suicide, the taking of one’s own life, is ungodly because it rejects God’s gift of life. No man or woman should presume to take God’s authority upon themselves to end his or her own life.
So, according to the bible, ‘Suicide is as sin’. May God grant His grace to each one who is facing trials today (Psalm 67:1). And may each of us take hope in the promise, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved” (Romans 10:13).
In this article, I will list out four female international celebrities who committed suicide
1.) Former Miss USA 2019 Cheslie Kryst
Former Miss USA 2019 Cheslie Kryst, 30 died on Sunday after jumping from her high-rise New York City apartment. Her death has been ruled a suicide, the New York City Office of Chief Medical Examiner confirmed.
Kryst, who was also an attorney with an MBA, was crowned Miss USA as Miss North Carolina in May 2019. She went on to finish in the top 10 of the Miss Universe 2019 competition.
2.) Malinda Gayle McCready
Malinda Gayle McCready was an American country music singer who died at the age of 38. She was born on November 30, 1975 and died on February 17, 2013.
On February 17, 2013, McCready’s neighbours called the Sheriff’s Office of Cleburne County, Arkansas, reporting gunshots.
She was found dead on her front porch from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
3.) Simone Sherise Battle
Simone Sherise Battle, 25 was an American singer, songwriter, dancer, and actress from Los Angeles, California. She was a finalist on The X Factor in 2011 and a member of the girl group G.R.L. from 2012 until her death in 2014.
She was born on June 17, 1989, and died on September 5, 2014.
The cause of death was ruled as suicide. A spokesperson for Battle stated that she suffered from depression due to financial issues.
4.) Caroline Louise Flack
Caroline Louise Flack,41 was an English actress and television and radio presenter.
She was born on November 9, 1979 and died on February 15, 2020. According to reports, she was found dead in her flat, in Stoke Newington, London, on 15 February 2020
The lawyer acting for her family stated that her death was a suicide.
