On Monday, November 4, around 8 a.m., something scary happened on an RER E train at the Ozoir-la-Férrière stop in Seine-et-Marne, France. There was a fight, and four people were hurt, including two who were seriously hurt and will never be the same.
One victim’s hand was cut off, and another got a serious head injury that included a split brain. The victims are allegedly around middle school age, which is way too young. A lot of people in the neighborhood are scared by this disturbing fact.
Axes were used in the fight, which shocked everyone in the town. As soon as the police arrived, they stopped both lines of RER E traffic between the Haussman Saint-Lazare and Tournan stations.
Several trains were halted, which made it hard for people to get to work. Police and firemen were sent to the scene to help with medical needs and to restore order. When the emergency services arrived quickly, they helped stop more damage.
The victims’ young ages have made people worry about youth violence and the need for help services. That which is scary is how young the victims are; from what we know about them, they are about the age of middle school kids.
It’s still not clear what caused the intense fight. Investigators are still looking into what happened to find out what happened. The police are trying to find the people who did this horrible thing and figure out what caused it.
People are shocked by what happened, and many are asking for more safety measures on public transportation. Concerns have been raised about violence among young people because of how badly the victims were hurt and how young they were.
