Gov Of Borno State Pleads With IGP To Redeploy Disbanded SARS To Help Fight Boko Haram In The State

With the ongoing Endsars protests, which lead to the disbandment of members of the Special Anti-Robbery squad, the Governor of Borno State, Babagana Umara Zulum has urged the Inspector General of Police to redeploy the disbanded members of the Special Anti Robbery squad to help fight boko Haram in Borno State.

Making the plea in Maiduguri during an official visit from Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola , Umara said:

”We are not in support of Brutality by any security outfit, but to be sincere, here in Borno State, the efforts of SARS operatives in the counter-insurgency operations need to be over-emphasized.”
